First power unit of Primorskaya TPP has been synchronized with the grid
The steam turbine of the first power unit was launched at Primorskaya TPP. This allows to proceed to the commissioning of equipment under load and comprehensive testing, after which the power unit will be put into operation.
During the tests, the experts checked the turbine's idle operation and increased the rotor speed to 3,000 rpm. Thus, the readiness of the equipment to operate synchronously with the power system of the Kaliningrad Region was confirmed. In addition, the correct operation of all components of the turbine and the functioning of the electrohydraulic system control system were checked. During such operations, the personnel masters the techniques of the turbine unit operation.
Successful testing allows specialists to proceed to the final stage of commissioning to prepare the unit for operation. On May 18, power unit No. 1 has been synchronized with the Yantarenergo grid and supplied the first test load of 5 MW.
Primorsky TPP with a capacity of 195 MW includes three steam power plants with a unit capacity of generating equipment of 65 MW. Each power unit includes a steam turbine manufactured by CJSC "The Ural Turbine Works" (Yekaterinburg), a turbine generator (CJSC ELSIB, Novosibirsk) and a steam boiler E-240-13.8-560 KT (PK-114) (JSC Machine-Building Factory of Podolsk, Moscow Region).
